NZD/USD threatens 0.88 handle making yearly highs

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is trading at 0.8781, up 0.25% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.8808 and low at 0.8739.

NZD/USD has been extending its gains on the greenback and is approaching on the 0.88 handle, but not making a convincing impression so far, although while 0.8780 holds up it maybe only a matter of time on a third attempt. Currently RSI is at 39.79, down from the last hourly print at 55.76 Jane Foley, Senior Currency Strategist at Rabobank notes that since the start of July 2013 the NZD has gained more than any other developed world currency; around 12.7% vs. the USD.

Spot is presently trading at 0.8781, and next resistance can be seen at 0.8781 (Daily Classic R1), 0.8784 (Weekly Classic R1), 0.8803 (Daily Classic R2), 0.8808 (Daily High) and 0.8809 (3 Year High). Next support to the downside can be found at 0.8780 (Monthly High), 0.8780 (Annual High), 0.8780 (YTD High), 0.8779 (Hourly 20 EMA) and 0.8774 (Weekly High).

NZD/USD to soften to 0.8600 - Rabobank
