NZD/USD take pains to recover from Asian lows at 0.8617

FXStreet (Moscow) - NZD/USD reached current Asian high at 0.8634 after opening at 0.8620

Kiwi has settled down

NZD/USD bulls don’t give up as the pair formed a higher low on daily chart yesterday and resumed the upside in Asia today. The pair needs to break above Moday’s high at 0.8639 to get a chance to move to the next resistance at 0.8653. The Kiwi might continue to drift higher during European hours, but the dynamic will be weak as traders are usually hesitant to open new positions ahead of key calendar events. Thus US retail sales numbers published during NY hours might clip kiwi’s wings should it come out above expectations and support USD across the board.

What are today’s key NZD/USD levels?

Today's central pivot point can be found at 0.8622, with support below at 0.8606, 0.8591 and 0.8575, with resistance above at 0.8637, 0.8653 and 0.8668 Hourly Moving Averages are mostly bearish, with the 200SMA at 0.8653 and the daily 20EMA at 0.8624. Hourly RSI is bullish at 50.
