AUD/USD slumps to 6-day lows
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/USD slumped to a 6-day low at the beginning of the American session, weighed by the slump in gold prices
The AUD/USD came under renewed pressure during the New York session and accelerated losses on the break of the 0.9380 support area, falling to a low of 0.9344 in recent dealings. At time of writing, the Aussie is trading at the 0.9355 zone, recording a 0.71% loss on the day. The AUD had turned south during the Asian session, pressured by neutral RBA minutes.
AUD/USD technical outlook
Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXStreet said the AUD/USD presents a strong bearish short term tone according to short-term charts with a decisive break below 0.9360 favoring a downward extension for today.
Bednarik locates next supports at 0.9320 and 0.9290, while resistances could be found at 0.9445, 0.9485 and 0.9530.
