Iraq aims to double exports from Amaya oil terminal to 1 million bpd

Iraq oil ministry on Monday said it aims to drive exports from the Amaya oil field to one million barrels per day over the next few years. 

Deputy petroleum minister for production and exploration, Karim Hattab, the terminal’s current capacity stands at 250.000 barrels per day, and is expected to reach 600.000 bpd. Iraq is OPEC”s second largest oil producer after Saudi Arabia.
