Mexico's Madrazo: NAFTA negotiations on the right track

In a telephonic interview with Reuters, Luis Madrazo, Mexican Finance Ministry Chief Economist, noted the following:

Sees better outlook for 2017 after Q1 GDP data

Sees less risk of a slowdown in Q2, Q3 due to strength of factory exports

Says last week's letter to US congress from Trump administration on NAFTA talks sends "clear, credible signal that we are on the right track with trade negotiations"

Sees less risk to Mexico economy from US policy and that should be positive for Mexico's credit rating
