Australia's national fiscal outlook has deteriorated since 2015-16

Australia's national fiscal outlook has deteriorated since 2015-16 mid-year fiscal updates, according to the Australian Parliamentary Budget Committee. At present, the most updated projection for national fiscal deficit from 2015/16 to 2018/19 has deteriorated by $14.9bn due to a downward revision in projected revenue. However, there has been an upgrade in net capital investment, with a downward revision in expenses as well.
