Fed should stay off the trigger following weak US jobs report – Danske Bank
Research Team at Danske Bank, suggests that in the US, the focus continues to be on whether the Fed is about to hike this summer.
Key Quotes
“We continue to think a June hike is unlikely due to the Brexit uncertainties (which several FOMC members have mentioned as a factor weighing on the rate decision). Also, following recent job report the Fed looks unlikely to raise the rate in the next few months. Job growth is a very important input for the Fed’s reaction function, so the significant slowdown in job growth will probably make Fed members hesitant.”
