BoE leaves rates, QE unchanged

The Bank of England decided to leave the main rate unchanged at 0.5% at its May meeting, as widely expected. The Monetary Policy Committee voted 9-0 to keep rates unchanged.

The Committee also voted unanimously to maintain the stock of purchased assets financed by the issuance of central bank reserves at £375 billion.
