AUD/USD extends losses to fresh daily lows

FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/USD came under renewed pressure and broke below 0.8150 as the greenback extended gains versus commodity currencies ahead of the Wall Street opening.

AUD/USD continued to back away from its 1-month peak scored earlier at 0.8254, having given up more than 100 pips during the last hours to hit a low of 0.8130, weighed by commodities’ drop. At time of writing, the pair is trading at 0.8135, recording a 0.82% loss on the day.

AUD/USD technical levels

As for technical levels, next supports could be found at 0.8130 (daily low) and 0.8105/00 (Jan 9 low/psychological level). On the flip side, resistances are seem at 0.8254 (Jan 12 high) and 0.8274 (Dec 16 high) ahead of 0.8300 (psychological level).
