AUD/USD runs to 0.8540 and retreats

FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/USD rose in a few minutes from 0.8505 to 0.8539, reaching the strongest level since the Asian session but later pulled back. “It looks like there was some kind of real money flow that needed to be completed before the end of the week/month”, wrote Adam Button, managing editor of ForexLive, explaining the reason of the AUD rally.

The aussie rose across the board, AUD/NZD jumped from 1.0820 to 1.0875 while EUR/AUD dropped from 1.4655 to 1.4560.

Afterwards AUD/USD retreated and near the end of trading in Wall Street trades at 0.8517, down 0.38% for the day as the US dollar gains momentum in the market.
